      Stage 1 
      Context and Method -introduces you to a range of research methods and tools appropriate to an advanced level of study in creative disciplines as well as outlining key issues and debates in contemporary visual and material culture. It is designed to enable the use of advanced study skills to prepare you for the development of your MA project.

       Exploratory Practice -uses contextual research and studio projects to investigate and explore the field of enquiry into fashion, both on a conceptual and practical level. The studio projects explore current research ideas that inform design or writing practice and is conceived as basis for the revision of your original project proposal.

      Stage 2
      Project Development- requires you to investigate your research question through primary research and applied work. For practice-based students this usually requires the planning and implementation of a series of pilot/test projects that systematically address aspects of the project area. In fashion such tests are gathered in a series of developmental stages, from sketch, working drawing, range plan to toile.

      Stage 3
      Final Project- you apply the knowledge gained through your to a final body of work as appropriate to your discipline. You demonstrate the potential of your MA project, its subject and its method, to generate original and creative work that embodies knowledge. This process will require you to further develop appropriate technical and presentation skills and to understand their role in the production of meaning in the final work.
